This was filled with cement Little Room This working fireplace shares a bivalve chimney with the room above (bathroom) Living Room IN 1976 the Springfield Historical Society had a historical tour of older homes in town, the colonial expert that visited stated that the wood front over the fireplace was one of the finest example of early American work he had ever seen and was museum quality.
